Samurai Reborn in New World

A short story about a samurai who loses his life on a burning battlefield and awakens as a baby in another world. The first half depicts a deadly battle on a battlefield covered in mud and fire. The young samurai faces his final duel, and for a moment it seems he might win, but in the end he is cut down. His vision tilts downwards, and as he is enveloped in flames and smoke, his consciousness fades away.
